Hi there! My name is Megan, and I'm so excited to be your teacher here at Verbling! In my every-day life, I am a 5th grade math and science teacher, and I enjoy having lovely conversations and talking about grammar whenever I get the chance.
Previously, I was a Spanish teacher in Brooklyn, New York, where I taught beginner to intermediate middle school students using interactive games, songs, dialogues, and projects. I have also been an online English teacher with OpenEnglish, where I have helped thousands of students from Central and South America to improve their English.
When I am teaching both Spanish and English, I love to use lively conversations and interesting questions, as well as real-life sources such as news articles, video clips, memes, songs, or current-event “hot topics” to guide lessons.
In our lessons, I will focus on the aspects of language learning that are most important to you, and tailor each lesson so that it meets you at your level and pushes you towards your learning goals.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and I am pleased to use either language to support the learning process.
