I received my Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from University of Southern California. I've been helping prepare foreign language students for entrance into American colleges and universities for the past five years. I currently teach at an Intensive English Program affiliated with Orange Coast College, near Los Angeles. On completion of my program, students' English levels are acknowledged to be ready for their American classes. If you're looking for someone who can help your English become more academic and professional, then you have come to the right teacher.

I've taught English abroad in Japan, where I worked for a year. I've also taught English to famous Japanese singers, such as "King and Prince", a Japanese pop group. My experience as a musician and a singer has helped me incorporate music, for example lyric analysis, into my lessons. If you're interested in improving your listening and pronunciation through music, then I've got the activities for you.

My approach to teaching is very communicative, and I have presented research at conferences such as CA-TESOL promoting the use of communicative and collaborative activities. My students often work hard outside of class (learning vocabulary, watching videos, analyzing news articles) in order to make full use of class time to improve their communication skills and make improvements. I will design personalized objectives for you based on your needs and goals, and we WILL meet those objectives and goals. I can't wait to work with you!
