Are you afraid to speak in English in front of others? Why?

I've been a teacher for more than 10 years and have worked with thousands of students. One of the things many of my English students had in common was being afraid to speak in front of others. Thankfully, I've been able to help many of them get over this fear. I want my students to be confident when they speak.
