Hello, my name is Adam. I was born and grew up near Liverpool in England. Even though I am proud of my local accent and dialect, and use it when I am back home, I speak using a received pronunciation accent. I love being an English teacher!
I taught English to speakers of other languages informally for several years before I considered doing it professionally.
