Hello! My name is Ana. I'm a Serbian native with 2 master's degrees: one in Teaching Serbian as a Foreign Language, the other in The English Language and Literature. My teaching career starting more than 15 years ago, and teaching has become both my passion and profession.
I’ve adopted some teaching principles which are included in each of my classes: I believe that each lesson should be relevant to the student; what I teach to my students is at the same time important to them. Besides relevance, I’m giving my students a sense of achievement: they feel they have mastered a new word, grammar rule, challenging sound, a useful idiom…. It can then be their “takeaway” – something they can take with themselves after a class and that can be readily applied in their lives outside the class. And all of these should not be possible if they weren’t done in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I love the energy my students and I exchange in a class, and meeting new people has always been a great pleasure for me!
When I don’t teach, I like animals (a proud owner of 5 cats and 5 dogs), taking photos, spending time outdoors on a lovely warm day. To be honest, I hate coldness, and I’d rather hibernate through winter if possible! While waiting for spring and summer to come, I read and indulge in discovering great books and savoring black coffee.
So, I’m looking forward to having a class with you! Let’s both enjoy the classes! Hope to see you soon!
