I teach 3 courses related to Russian : Basic, General and Conversational. I will briefly describe them here.
Basic Russian
I teach fundamental concepts of Russian here, the ones students need to understand to be able to communicate in the language, thus acquiring working experience in the usage of various grammatical constructions, common vocabulary words, pronunciation, listening comprehension, speaking and writing skills. Students usually understand my explanations without difficulty since I speak several foreign languages and can compare their structures.
General Russian
My approach to teaching General Russian is to enable students continually advance in the language.
Grammar rules are thoroughly analyzed, reading, writing, speaking and listening activities are arranged with increasing difficulty levels.
Conversational Russian
The goal is to improve student’s speaking skills and listening comprehension. Complicated grammar is not utilized. A suggested list of conversation topics is provided. The emphasis is on the abundance of speaking practice.
I may combine these courses to do my best to deliver my lessons. However, it is the wish of a student to choose which course should be primarily taught.
