My name is Ettore Giosuè and I am a teacher and a freelance translator. I have been teaching for over 10 years in different countries and context. I have worked in Austria, Germany and Italy for language schools and vocational colleges. I have worked with students from all over the world (Japan, Sweden, Singapore, US, Argentina...) and with different age groups, cultural background and professions.
I am a passionate teacher and a curious learner too! Teacher Professional Development plays an important part in my teaching: every year I attend several seminars, webinars and courses from top-notch universities and institutions. I am also a member of international teachers' association such as IATEFL and Cambridge English Teachers.
My classes are well structured and effective. I use an inclusive and understanding approach so that your previous learning and background is valued. My aim is to create a creative and welcoming environment where you can learn the language and culture.
I am supportive and friendly teacher, with a very positive attitude. In my classes I encourage risk-taking so that you can learn from your mistakes and become fluent in the language. During our lessons, we will cover all language skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading. Of course private tutoring is all about you so I will be really happy to fit every lesson around your goals.
My classes are always relevant to you (so with interesting topics!), with clear aims and personalized. Before our first lesson I will also send you a test to assess your level of Italian. I will write a personalized plan for you.
I have lots of experience with different levels: I taught from very beginner (that could only say 'ciao') to advanced learners such as teachers and sociologists. I also have a lot of resources (including general Italian, idioms and phrases, etc) and coursebooks. Together we will also learn a lot about Italy, Italian culture and history.
