Ideal for who would like to make the most of this self-quarantine time for having some conversation practice or revising some grammar!
[Not for a total beginner or who would like regular lessons for a longer period]
Hi, I am Shinobu from Hokkaido, Japan.
To introduce myself as a teacher, let me ask you a question.
Did you know that Japanese rarely say こんにちは(konnichiwa) to their family and friends?
[Then, what do Japanese say instead in greeting?]
This question, which was asked by one of my non Japanese friends years ago, made me realize how interesting and profound Japanese is!
Having moved to London, I met quite a few people that are interested in Japan/Japanese culture, who asked me such thought-provoking questions as above.
So I decided to be a Japanese teacher as a foreign language, got a certificate in London, then here I am on verbing to be your teacher :)
I am very eager to teach. I have been teaching Japanese, English and history to Japanese children for more than a decade. I also have 3 years experience of teaching Japanese as a foreign language to various types of students. Now I feel like dedicating more time to it.
As personal interest, I like travelling and meeting people from all over the world. Both give great opportunities to touch different cultures, have different perspectives and understand your own country and yourself more deeply. I believe learning a foreign language can give you those opportunities as well.
