The passive (المبني للمجهول) form is very important and interesting. It involves changing the form and the meaning of sentences to a certain extent. In passive constructions, the object of the active sentence becomes a grammatical subject, e.g. ‘my friend wrote the book’ is an active sentence that begins with the subject. Its passive counterpart ‘the book was written by my friend’ brings the object to the position of the subject and presents the real subject at the end of the sentence in a prepositional phrase.

La forma pasiva ( المبني للمجهول ) es muy importante e interesante. Se trata de cambiar la forma y el significado de las oraciones hasta cierto punto . En las construcciones pasivas, el objeto de la oración activa se convierte en un sujeto gramáticamente, por ejemplo, ' mi amigo escribió el libro "es una oración activa que comienza con el sujeto. Su contraparte pasiva " el libro fue escrito por mi amigo ' trae el objeto a la posición del sujeto y presenta el objeto real en el final de la oración en una frase preposicional.
In Arabic, passive works in the same way. It should always be remembered that we can only form passive constructions from transitive verbs, i.e. verbs that take a direct object.
En árabe, la forma pasiva funciona de la misma manera. Siempre hay que recordar que sólo podemos formar construcciones pasivas de los verbos transitivos, es decir, los verbos que toman un objeto directo.
The passive and active forms of most verbs in Arabic are closely related. The main difference between active and passive forms of verbs is the vowels.
Las formas pasivas y activas de la mayoría de los verbos en árabe están estrechamente relacionadas. La principal diferencia entre las formas activa y pasiva de los verbos son las vocales.
The passive of past tense verbs is formed by putting a damma or short /o/ on the first letter of the verb, and a kasra or short /i/ on the letter before last.
