I was born and raised in Belgium, so my native language is Dutch (Flemish). I am also very familiar with Dutch from the Netherlands since I used to live 12 years in Amsterdam. I have lived, studied, and worked in several wonderful places around the world. As a cultural and social anthropologist, I am very passionate about learning and teaching languages and discovering different cultures. Apart from my native Dutch, I am also fluent in English and Spanish. The past years I have been learning Modern Greek with an online tutor too. Hi there I was born in Belgium and Dutch is my native language. I have always been interested in languages, not just using the language correctly but also trying to understand the evolution of the language and comparing different language groups. Although I was educated as an engineer, after the birth of the children and being always on the move, I had to reinvent myself. I started to give language courses. Soon, I found out that I really enjoyed this and that I was actually good at it. I always adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of the student.

I have worked for several Dutch language training schools like Elycio Talen, Taleninstituut and Easy Dutch with students from all over the world. My methods: I always try to first focus on the pronunciation and work our way up from there, because I think that you can't build a good house without a steady foundation.. Of course I always emphasise talking in my lessons, because it's only through using the language, that you will truly improve. I try to get my students as close to the native accent as possible, while giving them extensive explanation about the grammar or even doing some grammar drills, if necessary.
