I am a retired English teacher with experience in both the English and French education systems. I have lived in France for 25 years and have worked in Business Schools, the French technology schools as well as in a lycée. I have working experience in agriculture again in both the UK and France. All my teaching has been based on individualised learning systems using one to one teaching as much as possible.

I have loved teaching English here on Verbling for the past 4 years and it gives me great joy to be able to share my language with the rest of the world. In 2016 I got my CELTA teaching certificate in Medellin, Colombia and have taught business employees and executives as well as stay at home moms, grandparents and occasionally kids too! I am a passionate yoga teacher and outdoors enthusiast and love bringing my practices of stress management and wellbeing to the classroom whenever possible. I can teach from the book to work on vocabulary and grammar, as well as bring outside materials and topics to have fun and interesting discussions. I’m Kevin Palmer. in 2002, at my first teaching job, I had a student named Ning. Ning was wonderful. She was intelligent, friendly, and she worked hard. Every day she studied English textbooks for 4 hours! She tried to remember 50 new vocabulary words every day! But, after 6 months of hard work, she still could not speak. Sadly, this was true for all of the students in the class. I felt terrible. So I asked other teachers for help. But they had the same problem.. very few of their students improved either.
