ABOUT ME : Hi, my name is Lucas and I'm 29 years old. My native languages are both French and German, and I grew up speaking both languages at home. I also have dual citizenship. I have been passionate Literature at a very young age, but I discovered French Literature through the world of Honoré de Balzac (Peau de chagrin), Alexandre Dumas (Le Comte de Monte Cristo), Anne and Serge Golan (Angélique Marquise des anges), during my teenage years. These authors allowed me to expand my imagination while helping me survive my difficult and sometime painful high school years. I studied French Literature (1995-2000) out of passion and with the intention to teach some day. So here I am! My teaching style and approach is to make the learning experience enjoyable while allowing students to make mistakes, by encourage them to at least try using the new language even if it's not perfect and gracefully suggesting corrections. Learning a new language also means immersing yourself in a new culture, so I really enjoy providing cultural context to better explain expressions and exploring songs poetry to enhance the learning experience as well!
