Beyond studies and experience (which you can read below), what makes a good language teacher? I have no doubts: enthusiasm, empathy, patience and sense of humor. Without these four attributes, any robot could be a better teacher than me, am I right?
I studied a master's degree at University of Barcelona in 2013 and another course at International House in 2014 to specialize as a teacher of Spanish as a second language.
My passion for teaching hasn't done anything else but increasing. I love helping people all over the world to learn the language and to understand my culture. But, above all, both the students and me have fun during the lesson. Learning a language is impossible if you don't feel at ease and happy. Laughing is our most valuable tool to learn.

my name is José, I am from Barcelona (Spain) and I am Spanish teacher for foreigners since 2015. I am currently living in Boston, where I work as Spanish Heritage teacher in the British International School.
In the past, I have worked in different schools in Barcelona, London, Zürich and also as online teacher with students from all over the world.
Even if I finished Journalism at the University, I decided to do a Spanish Training Course to become a teacher because I found that teaching is my true professional vocation. I like learning about other cultures and helping everyone who wants to learn my language and the Spanish and Latin-American worlds.
My way of teaching is always based on communication. From the first day, I give the students the chance of learning while speaking and practicing. I am always open to suggestions and used to adapt the classes to the student's preferences.
