My name's Amaia and I'm a 31 year old Spanish teacher from Spain. I currently live in Valencia. I studied translation at university and my first experience with teaching came when I moved to the UK to work as a Spanish Language Assistant in a school in Yorkshire in 2011. I then went on to study a PGCE to become a qualified teacher in the UK, where I lived for 5 years. During this time, I taught many adult education community lessons, as well as one to one lessons, which I thoroughly enjoyed. 3 years ago, I moved back to Spain and decided to start teaching Spanish online.
My lessons are relaxed and building a good relationship where the student feels comfortable it's key for me. I teach grammar and vocabulary through speaking exercises so that you're using the language from day one. I assess your progress constantly at the beginning and end of each lesson so that I can plan accordingly for the next lesson.
