Hello! my name is Andres Lommatzsch. I am from Venezuela and I currently reside in Trinidad and Tobago. I am a native Spanish speaker, but I have been learning and using the English language since I was 8 years old. My love for languages eventually lead me to studying modern languages at University. I have been a Spanish and English private tutor to both children and young adults for over 2 years now and recently finished my TEFL certification, achieving a grade A. In addition, I have travelled extensively providing me with many opportunities to interact with people from all walks of life which has gained me invaluable interpersonal skills. My approach to teaching language is to encourage speaking from day one which is how I learned English so thoroughly as well as rapidly. I believe it is most effective and beneficial for one to be able to first express ones main idea and then focus on perfecting grammar and pronunciation. That being said, as for my style of teaching style, I like to focus heavily on elicitation and student talk time, correcting students when appropriate.
