Hello! My name is Juliana and I'm your future language instructor. Learning a new language is a natural process that is nurtured through self drive.
I'm a native American English speaker. As for my teaching credentials, I hold a degree in Spanish language and French and Italian minor. I have a Masters Degree from New York State.
When I graduated college, I packed my bags and moved to Buenos Aires to pursued a second TEFL certification with International TEFL Academy in Buenos Aires. Upon graduation, I was hired at Language Roots and LV Studio in the heart of the beauty city of Buenos Aires! I taught students of all ages and various interests and motivations for learning English. After a year of teaching English, I returned home to get my Masters of Education where I started to teach Spanish and French while tutoring Italian. I studied and lived in Spain, Italy and Argentina.
My first teaching experience was teaching English in my hometown as a senior in High School. As a graduation gift, my parents paid for my first ESL certification! I have two success stories of students who are now dear friends. One student from Panama who was my very first student started with little to no English. It was a great opportunity to practice my High School Spanish ( I was taking University level at the time). I'm still very good friends with one of my students from many years ago. He has gone on to now work in the medical field. The other student is an Argentine Scientist who know travels internationally. There's no doubt, languages enrich our lives and heart.
My teaching methods are done through speaking and interpretation activities. I love music, stories, and TV series as a way to acquire language naturally and in an engaging way. You're so brave to learn a new language and I promise if you learn with me that it'll be a piece of cake!
