关于我

Hello! My name is Gretchen Hughes and I'm so excited to join you on your English language journey!

Language learning is incredibly rewarding and I strive to make each class fit the student so that you feel this way too. I tailor each lesson to what my student wants to learn and their interests. This makes English learning engaging and memorable.

I graduated in 2014 with a B.A. in Management and a minor in Mandarin Chinese. Following I worked for the university for 2 years and found my passion for working with students! I then was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and moved to Kaohsiung, Taiwan for 1 year. In Taiwan I taught English to 121 elementary students (1st-6th grade). Currently, I live in Minnesota and am pursuing a master's degree at the University of Minnesota in International Education.

Each lesson is individual to each student and if you're looking for a teacher who will tailor the class towards your goals, give me a try!

I am able to teach children ages 6+, but prefer intermediate and advanced English learners, as well as business English. I look forward to meeting you, discussing your goals, and how I can help you achieve them!
