Dear future student,
My name is Ben, I am an experienced native German teacher from Berlin who is currently living in the Miami area and working for the Goethe Institute as an online German teacher. I’d describe myself as an open-minded, patient and reliable person who is eager to create outstanding results with his students. In order to achieve that, I want to create a safe space where you feel free to make mistakes from which you can eventually learn from. Stress and fear are one of the main reasons why students give up on the continuation of their language journey. I will ensure that you will experience a stress and fear free lesson by working with you based on your own learning tempo, your current language level, and your personal expectations that you take into the class.
I do not believe in the concept of teaching the way most public schools approach it. Authentic language learning should focus on the student itself rather than the language as an abstract concept. My job is not to judge you but to help you achieve your goals whether they are related to improving your communication abilities, preparing for an exam, or increasing your overall language skills. Thus, I will appreciate if you tell me in advance what you want to achieve and what interests you have so that I can tailor the lesson to your personal needs and preferences.
