Hi Verbling students!
My name is Carmen and I have a Masters of Education, a TESOL and a 120-hour TEFL from Australia with 6 years teaching experience in Australia, China and online. I love meeting new people from all around the world!
My teaching philosophy is to create a fun, relaxing and informative class for students to try new things. You'll find my teaching style is upbeat and chatty!
I enjoy teaching all levels and all ages, and I'm always making improvements to my teaching style so my classes are efficient and effective as possible. Please let me know what you need help with.
If there are particular areas in which you would like to focus on such as accent reduction, a trip to the grocery store, basic conversation vocabulary, upcoming job or college interview please let me know so I can hone in on the skills you will need in order to be successful.

English Speaking Conversation practice to prepare for IELTS - I have a range of questions you may be asked on the speaking part of the IELTS EXAM. You'll feel more confident after these sessions!
Proper Pronunciation and Accent Training – if you want to sound more like a Native English Speaker we will have many conversations on topics of interest. We might even do some Tongue Twisters, which are aimed at improving your speech. ;)
Vocabulary Building - We will talk about some interesting things and slowly add more vocabulary, transitions and phrases to your conversational English.

***IF YOU MISS A LESSON:
Just as you value your time, I also value our time together and will always be punctual unless there is an emergency or technical issue. However if you can not attend your lesson, you are able to receive a 50% refund through Verbling if you MUST cancel, within the 12 hours prior to your lesson.
***IF YOU ARE LATE FOR A LESSON:
Again, please keep in mind that time is a valuable thing. I will always wait in the classroom 15 minutes into the lesson before leaving. Please keep in mind if this happens you will also be charged for the entire lesson.
