My name is Elen and I am from Wales in Great Britain. I am a DELTA qualified English Language teacher with over 20 years experience working for the British Council in Italy and Egypt and International House in Spain and Portugal. I have also worked in England, teaching students from Asia, Europe, the middle east and south America.
I am very familiar with the format and requirements of the FCE and CPE exams, having helped students to pass with high grades. I am a thorough teacher with a genuine interest in the idiosyncrasies of English and love taking students' level beyond formulaic course-book learning. Saying that, I am also a grammar enthusiast! I consider each part of a language (reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary) as beneficial in genuinely improving a student's level but am also happy to adapt and concentrate on a particular area if and when it is needed or wanted.
