Hi, I’m Vinny! I’m a native English speaker from Wisconsin, USA. I speak Spanish fluently and have over ten years of experience teaching and learning languages.
I specialize in helping Spanish-speaking beginners build confidence in English. If you’re starting from zero or already know some English but struggle to speak, I can help you move forward step by step. I can explain things in Spanish whenever you need extra support, so you don’t have to worry about understanding everything in English from the first day.
ABOUT ME
I’ve spent about seven years living abroad in Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Spain, and Ecuador—including two years in Ecuador and about a year in Spain. Living in different countries has given me opportunities to teach, learn languages, and connect with people from many backgrounds.
I’ve been learning Spanish since 2016 and have also studied Japanese and Thai. I understand the challenges of learning a language: forgetting words, struggling to understand conversations, and feeling nervous about making mistakes. Those experiences shape the way I teach.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga, traveling, playing video games, developing software.
MY LESSONS
My classes are friendly and creative, with a clear structure to help you make steady progress. We’ll work on practical English you can use in everyday conversations, at work, or while traveling.
Depending on your needs, lessons can include:
• Everyday vocabulary and useful expressions
• Speaking and listening practice
• Grammar explained clearly in English or Spanish
• Pronunciation practice to help you communicate clearly
• Reading and writing activities connected to your goals
We can also explore topics you enjoy, such as food, music, culture, technology, or games. You’ll have room to ask questions, make mistakes, and practice at your own pace.
LEARNING BETWEEN CLASSES
I’m passionate about using technology to support language learning. I created my own method and software for learning new vocabulary. I'd love to help you design an effective study routine to help continue learning outside of class.
Beginners are my main focus, but I also welcome intermediate and advanced students who want conversation practice or help with specific goals.

Me especializo en ayudar a principiantes hispanohablantes a ganar confianza en inglés. Si empiezas desde cero o ya sabes algo de inglés pero te cuesta hablar, puedo ayudarte a avanzar paso a paso. Puedo explicarte las cosas en español cuando necesites apoyo adicional, así que no tienes que preocuparte por entender todo en inglés desde el primer día.

He pasado unos siete años viviendo en el extranjero, en Tailandia, Corea del Sur, Japón, España y Ecuador, incluidos dos años en Ecuador y aproximadamente un año en España. Vivir en distintos países me ha dado la oportunidad de enseñar, aprender idiomas y conectar con personas de diversos orígenes.
Estudio español desde 2016 y también he estudiado japonés y tailandés. Entiendo los retos de aprender un idioma: olvidar palabras, tener dificultades para entender conversaciones y sentir nervios por cometer errores. Estas experiencias influyen en mi manera de enseñar.
Fuera de las clases, disfruto practicar yoga, viajar, jugar videojuegos y desarrollar software.

Mis clases son amenas y creativas, con una estructura clara para ayudarte a progresar de forma constante. Trabajaremos con inglés práctico que puedas utilizar en conversaciones cotidianas, en el trabajo o al viajar.

• Vocabulario cotidiano y expresiones útiles
• Práctica de conversación y comprensión auditiva
• Gramática explicada claramente en inglés o español
• Práctica de pronunciación para ayudarte a comunicarte con claridad

También podemos explorar temas que te interesen, como la comida, la música, la cultura, la tecnología o los videojuegos. Tendrás espacio para hacer preguntas, equivocarte y practicar a tu propio ritmo.

Me apasiona utilizar la tecnología para apoyar el aprendizaje de idiomas. He creado mi propio método y software para aprender vocabulario nuevo. Me encantaría ayudarte a diseñar una rutina de estudio eficaz para que puedas seguir aprendiendo fuera de clase.
Mi enfoque principal son los principiantes, pero también doy la bienvenida a estudiantes de nivel intermedio y avanzado que quieran practicar conversación o recibir ayuda con objetivos específicos.
