I was born and raised in Belgium, so my native language is Dutch (Flemish). I am also very familiar with Dutch from the Netherlands since I used to live 12 years in Amsterdam.
I have lived, studied, and worked in several wonderful places around the world. As a cultural and social anthropologist, I am very passionate about learning and teaching languages and discovering different cultures.
Apart from my native Dutch, I am also fluent in English and Spanish. The past years I have been learning Modern Greek with an online tutor too. So I know the challenges that come with learning a new language! It is fun, exciting but can be overwhelming at times...

I'm a certified CRKBO(Central Register Short Professional Education) teacher. I'm a native speaker, and have been teaching Dutch for 14 years.
I have worked for several Dutch language training schools like Elycio Talen, Taleninstituut and Easy Dutch with students from all over the world.
My methods: I always try to first focus on the pronunciation and work our way up from there, because I think that you can't build a good house without a steady foundation.. Of course I always emphasise talking in my lessons, because it's only through using the language, that you will truly improve. I try to get my students as close to the native accent as possible, while giving them extensive explanation about the grammar or even doing some grammar drills, if necessary.

Welcome! My name is Helen and I am a native Dutch speaker from the Netherlands. I am TEFL, TESOL and TEYL certified and speak three languages fluently: Dutch, English and Spanish and I have some knowledge of German and French.
I have over 18 years of experience in online teaching to students of the age 12 and older and from different backgrounds. Hello, after graduating I decided to see the world. I travelled and worked my way around the globe for 15 years, but that all came to an end in 2015 when I fell in love with the sweet Mexican girl. I moved to Mexico, became a teacher and discovered that I love teaching. Besides teaching 2000 online classes, I also have years of experience of teaching in schools and I have been trained in teaching NT2 by the university of Leuven.
I adjust my classes to the needs of my students. For beginners, I use a structured approach with a emphasis on speaking and communication. But if you are preparing for an exam, job interview or are mainly interested in improving your communication skills, the classes will take on a very different form. Hi! My name is Rignald and I am an online Dutch teacher. I am a Dutch native speaker currently living in Florence, Italy. I have a Master of Arts in Languages and Linguistics from the University of Amsterdam. Learning foreign languages has always been my biggest passion. I have been teaching online for the past seven years for several language schools using different teaching platforms. I have had students from all over the world with different starting levels and objectives. My teaching approach, which is fully tailored based on the student's level and needs, is comparable to that of a child learning how to speak, meaning that the student learns grammatical rules by reading simple texts. Oral exercises play a key role during my lessons as they allow the student to achieve the correct pronunciation, and, as a consequence, to comprehend the spoken language faster.

I teach because it is fun. At secondary school, my friends asked me to help them with math and economics. I started teaching Dutch as a student at university. My pupils were usually business school students. Later on, I moved to a different university, in Nijmegen, and taught subjects like environmental economics, history and Dutch language. After finishing another project at the university, I decided to start my own IT company. As a company owner, I do projects for companies all over the world, including the department of Languages and Cultures at the University of London. Currently, I spend approximately half of my time as a language teacher and half of my time as an IT expert. I have also been working as a voluntary language teacher at a local organization in my city, which helps immigrants to start a new life in their new home country.

Hi there
I was born in Belgium and Dutch is my native language.
I have always been interested in languages, not just using the language correctly but also trying to understand the evolution of the language and comparing different language groups. Although I was educated as an engineer, after the birth of the children and being always on the move, I had to reinvent myself. I started to give language courses.
Soon, I found out that I really enjoyed this and that I was actually good at it.
I always adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of the student.
