Hi, I'm Viviana! I come from Southern Italy and I now call Amsterdam my home.
Years ago, I was given a wonderful opportunity: to make a real difference in the lives of refugees in my region — and that experience changed everything for me. It became the spark that launched my career as a language teacher.
Since 2013, I have been a passionate, certified DITALS Italian language teacher. But I'm also a language learner myself, so I truly understand what it feels like to be on your side of the table! I have many interests, mostly creative ones, and people often describe me as patient, funny, and easygoing.
In my lessons, the main focus is speaking — while keeping an eye on vocabulary, grammar, and culture, because language only comes alive in context.
Teaching a language is my way of connecting with other cultures and discovering more about the world through words.
Through the Communicative Language Teaching method, you'll be fully immersed in Italian from day one — speaking your very first words in your very first lesson, or taking your existing skills to the next level. We'll explore the language and culture together through videos, music, audio, and texts — learning while barely noticing you're learning.
After all, my motto is: "imparare senza accorgersi di imparare" — learning without realizing you're learning. 😊
