Hello there! I'm Ashley Thompson, and I'm happy to connect with you! As a proud native English speaker from Jamaica, home to the legendary Usain Bolt, I'm excited to be with you on your English learning journey with educational, engaging, and useful lessons that will help you become a better English speaker. It doesn't matter what level you are at; we will work together to decide the content you will learn and how you'd like to learn it.
At 31 years old, I have worked with students as young as 2 years old and as old as 79 years old across over 30 countries. This, in addition to my formal training, has allowed me to discover the best ways to teach English and how to motivate language learners across cultures. I've also spent time learning Chinese, French, and Spanish, so I know how challenging it can be.
With a solid educational background, including a Bachelor of Science in International Relations, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a TESOL certificate (120 hours), and over 10 years of diverse teaching experiences, I'm fully equipped to tailor my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of all my students, and I can't wait to meet you. So let's begin!
