Welcome to Verbling!
I am a TESOL certified Adult Education teacher with nearly 20 years experience in teaching English to those who are learning it as a second, third, (or fourth!) language. I speak with an American accent.
I spent two years living overseas and understand the challenges of learning a new language. My husband is from Brazil, so my children and I are currently learning Portuguese. We love languages in our home!
My teaching career has lead me through academic settings, non-profit environments, and private tutoring. I am currently working with adults who have some familiarity with English, but who would like to expand their vocabulary and polish their grammar.
Additionally, I have a background in healthcare and enjoy working with medical professionals in improving their understanding of the US health care environment, speaking/pronunciation, and academic/medical vocabularies.
I believe that when students are empowered with confidence and competence, they will progress towards their personal goals and find success.
**Please note, the Verbling platform is not for children under 13, minors ages 13-17 may only receive lessons with parental consent.
