Hello my name is Ettore and I was born in the beautiful Florence, in Italy. I love teaching! I like to share my knowledge with people who need it and, at the same time, learning from everybody. This is the meaning of life! I have a master's degree in teaching at the Giovanni Pascoli School. I have been teaching Italian for many years to foreigners in Florence, working for a voluntary association, and also at the UAM (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana) in Mexico city and Aguascalientes, Mexico. In 2017 and 2018 I taught Italian in Australia. I have shaped my teaching over time by having to teach to people from 5 to 70 in many different situations, face to face, online, in schools, in neighbourhoods, in villages, in associations, even in different kind of churches and recreational clubs, using the most effective teaching approach based on the situation. Right now I am in Thailand, where I keep going to teach on different online platforms where I also teach photography and video shoo...

Hello Students, My name is Enzo and I am a professional Italian teacher from Catania, Sicily. In the past, from 2014 onward, I taught private Italian classes in foreign countries, where I had moved abroad to participate in volunteer work. In my free time I volunteer as a full time teacher as part of a worldwide educational program. I also work as an instructor of group classes on public speaking and presentations, which has given me great experience in this field. I am happy to help students of all ages! I enjoy teaching vocabulary, pronunciation and conversational Italian to my students. I believe that learning Italian should be a fun process. You can perfect your pronunciation and fluency without pressure in my classes. I'm also fluent in German, Spanish, and English, so if you are a new, beginner-level student there should be no problem communicating. If none of my available times work for you, feel free to send me a message, and we can find a time that is good for your schedu...

Hi! My name is Betty and I live in Pescara, a lively sea town on the Adriatic sea, in the region of Abruzzo. I am a native Italian speaker, proficient in English and intermediate in German. I graduated with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Bologna and would describe myself as an open-minded cheerful person, in love with languages, cultures and... singing! I am a very enthusiastic teacher! I've been teaching Italian and English at Inlingua School of Languages since 2017, and I currently collaborate with two more educational institutions in Abruzzo. As an Italian teacher, I teach both one-to-one and group courses to students at every level and of all ages, from absolute begginers to advaced learners (A1-C1). I have experience in CELI preparation and cultural events planning. My teaching style focuses on communication: you will learn not only grammatical rules but also, and more importantly, how to use Italian in everyday life (school, work, bar,...

Hi, My name is Tina and I live in Rome. I have two degrees one in Italian Literature Philosophy and another in Art History. I taught Italian to children of all ages, I really enjoyed teaching but I accepted a job offer to become a civil servant for Rome City Hall, looking after the Roman heritage and becoming the director of the Medicine History Museum of Rome. I have recently retired and with some spare time in my hands, I went back to my true vocation: teaching. I now teach Italian to students whose first language is not Italian. I have students mainly from France, UK, and USA who are, for different reasons, in Italy and need to learn the language. Well, I can't wait to get started! 🙂 🇮🇹

I was preparing a lesson for a student of mine, when I found myself struggling with a translation. The word was “cavare”. «Pull out» I thought. But then… was there a better word? “Cavare”, in Italian, doesn’t only mean “to pull out”, that would be “estrarre”, “tirar fuori”, “rimuovere” or something else. “Cavare” has the word “cavità” (cavity) in it. “Cavare” means “to extract from a cavity”, “to remove and leave a cavity” and I couldn’t find a single word in English that suited the perfect meaning. This happens to me all the time, as I speak three languages daily and I am a “word perfectionist”: I am fascinated by the meaning that every word can have, those little shades of significance that can only be understood by those who profoundly study a language. And that is what I do: I study, all the time, to speak each of my three languages at its best, and I teach, to make my students learn properly the meaning of words and their best combination. My name is Cindy and I am a langua...
