I was born and raised in Canada.

I have worked in Montreal, Toronto, South Korea, Vancouver and am presently a school teacher here in Calgary, Alberta.

Qualifications & Experience

I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University in Montreal (2004).

I have 4 years of experience teaching and tutoring English as a Second Language which includes a combination of tutoring online, teaching in South Korea as well as tutoring foreign language students in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Teaching Approach

I am flexible, patient and enthusiastic in my teaching approach.

I ask my students about their language goals and then tailor our lessons accordingly. For example if a student is interested in improving his or her conversation skills we can discuss current events or topics of interest to the student.

I recommend and provide reading materials based on the students' interests and reading levels.

I pose questions concerning various articles to improve the students' comprehension skills.

I include plenty of encouragement and support throughout each lesson.
