Hello! My name is Ben. I am a TEFL-certified Native English Teacher with over 15 years experience. I taught in a classroom setting in South Korea for many years, and am now teaching on Verbling from my home in the United States.
The most common kind of lesson plan I use includes:
1. Everyday English - We will ask each other common everyday English questions: "What time is it?", "What day is it today?", "How's the weather?", "What did you do today?"
2. Reading (+vocabulary, comprehension, and discussion)
-We will take turns reading a news article.
OR Grammar (beginning/ intermediate/ advanced)
- we will work on one grammar module per lesson
3. Conversation (topical or casual) - We will take turns asking each other questions about any topic, or we can just have an open conversation.
We can incorporate grammar, writing, listening, spelling, dictation, travel English, exam practice, or interview preparation as needed.

We will first get to know each other briefly. I will ask some questions about your current English level and what your goals are with our lessons, and will answer any questions you may have about me. We will practice a bit of either reading, conversation, or both so that I can assess your English level further. I will then give you my assessment of how I can help you improve your English skills.
