Been teaching English as a Foreign Language since 2009 and still loving it! My name is Bridgette, I am a native English speaker and I live in the beautiful surfers village of Jeffreys Bay in sunny South Africa. Originally, I am from Cape Town – South Africa's 'Mother City' which is where my love for art and different cultures was solidly forged. Since 2009 I have taught English to students as far afield as Iraq, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Kazikstan, Brazil, Equador, Zimbabwe, Jordon, Greece, France and Switzerland, taught at 2 different Language Schools in Jeffreys Bay, as well as keeping online contact with many of my students through the years to continue providing a conversational platform. I absolutely love learning about different cultures and meeting interesting, new people. With me as your tutor, your English will improve in leaps and bounds amidst loads of laughter, in a fun-filled environment – and did I mention that I enjoy teaching children too? I find it incredibly rewarding to witness my students strive and improve their communicative skills, travel options and careers. Our lessons will incorporate a discussion about previous assignments, addressing the issues that came up, reading, general conversation, improving your vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension, fluency and confidence. I will introduce a variety of reading materials, movies, documentaries, song lyrics, discussion topics, flash cards and other teaching media. So, if you have a sense of humour (and want to learn to laugh in English) and are willing to put in the time and effort – I'm your English diva! I look forward to meeting you during our first lesson and thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video and read my profile.
[ use coupon 'arthur10' to get 10% off any number of classes for a limited time] Hi, my name's Art, I started teaching ESL 35 years ago in Salamanca Spain, then continued part-time while also teaching Spanish as a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University where I received an M.A. in Hispanic Literature in 1988. I left another career about 9 years ago when my Venezuelan wife and I moved back to her home country, and there I also happily returned to my first career of teaching ESL. I began teaching there at the university level at the Universidad Arturo Michelena, but then realized I felt called to tutoring one student at a time. In March of 2019, at the urging of the US embassy in Venezuela, and suddenly with no internet, my wife and I had to return to the US. The good news for students is that we have 300-330 Mega speed internet with cable so the audio and video are of excellent quality! ---Many of my students were/are preparing for TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, NATO, or Trinity exams etc. so I have experience helping there. I am currently on module 4 out of 5 with the ICAL TEFL institute based in London for certification in TEFL, but honestly have not been in a hurry since much of TEFL certification deals with classroom, small group, and pairs work, things that are not very relevant to one on one tutoring. If you want to know my qualifications, I suggest reading the comments of my students. They are the best judges of tutor quality. If you need help with exam preparation, CV editing, job interviews, pronunciation, presentations, conversation, grammar, etc. I'd be glad to help. Best of luck to you in your English studies, and remember never get discouraged! The key is hard work, lots of patience and determination. Cheers!

Hey, I'm Becky! Currently I live in the UK. Before that I lived in Colombia, Vietnam, Thailand and Australia! I have been teaching online and in the classroom for over 3 years now, how time flies. I love teaching, I love talking to people and I find the details of language and culture fascinating. I have taught in many different situations, from big classes of 40 7 year old pupils in Thailand, to 1 on 1 online classes with people from Russia, Serbia, Spain, Venezuela, Iran, Italy...online teaching in endlessly fun. I like to get to know new students through conversation practice, focusing on topics such as family, jobs, hobbies, travel, politics, or anything the student wishes to discuss. Then after our first meeting, together we can build a more focused programme to suit your needs and desires as a student. Or, we can simply practice conversation together, which is always fun. I also offer my students specific tutoring for test preparation and revision for exams. I help my students to improve their knowledge and understanding of English grammar and most importantly, my students should feel more confident using English in everyday situations. I can help my students to improve their skills in all areas. For example, with conversational english it is important to understand and be able to use - Phrasal verbs - Idioms - All basic tenses - 'Bad' english (lazy english used by native speakers) Good luck in finding a suitable teacher, don't be too shy to book a trial class, hopefully see you soon!
* 15 years of teaching experience * Certified and Accredited Neurolanguage Coach® (registered US and European trademark in the name of Rachel Marie Paling). * 8+ years of online teaching experience * IELTS, CAE and FCE examining experience * Experience of teaching in 7 different countries *2 years as Assistant Director of Studies at International House * Engaging, fun and challenging lessons Hi, I'm Gill. I've been teaching English for more than 15 years and I've lived and taught in 7 different countries - France, Russia, Mexico, Ukraine, South Africa, Switzerland and Angola, I've also been teaching online for more than 8 years and I've recently become a Certified and Accredited Neurolanguage Coach® (registered US and European trademark in the name of Rachel Marie Paling). A Neurolanguage Coach is basically someone who will not only teach you English but will help you become a better and more efficient learner. As your teacher and Nerolanguage Coach I will not only help you learn English but I will help you become a successful language learner. After teaching English for 15 years I've noticed that my most successful students always have three specific things in common. 1. They are independent learners: this means that they don't rely on their teacher to lead them, they take control of their learning and allow their teacher to be their guide. They have also found their own unique ways of learning English that suit their learning styles and their interests. 2. They are goal orientated: They break down long term goals into small achievable goals and follow through on these goals. 3. They consistently do a little bit every day I base my teaching around these 3 principles - as your teacher I will help you find the most effective ways for your to learn and I will help you become more independent. I will also help you break down your long-term goals into small ones, and help you achieve these goals. I will also inspire you to learn a little every day with my new, innovative system that I use with all my students, not only is it effective but it's also super interesting! That's it! Please don't hesitate to write to me if you have any questions :)

Hello ~ and welcome to fun and enjoyable English lessons online! My name is Lulie, and I would like to offer my background, with over 24 years experience teaching English, and hundreds of hours with students from many countries, and at many levels. I am dedicated and professional, while attentive and thorough in my lessons. I use audio, video, and relevant materials and provide students with recordings of all of my lessons. My students have been from over 15 countries, and from many backgrounds and careers. Hence, we have had many interesting conversations on topics such as culture, government policy, law, history, personal relationships, travel, adventure, business and ethics, always adjusted to the level of my students. I create lessons, vocabulary lists, and quizzes for my students who so desire them. I am also an excellent writer and editor, so I can help students who are prepping for essays or their thesis. Many of my former students have gone on to achieve career advancements because of their high skill level in English; if interested, please request reference letters. Classes vary in subjects from personal relationships, to traveling, science, business, psychology, culture, traditions, political climates, environmental issues; all with emphasis on the student's needs and interests. I have been living in South America for over seven years, where I have become proficient in conversational Spanish, and have taught English in the classroom. Currently, I teach online, and enjoy encouraging my students and challenging them as needed! My Spanish is intermediate and I have taught at the university level in Ecuador with only Spanish speaking students. To my students old and new: "Let's enjoy learning English together. Come on in, it's a great adventure!"
