“Grandparents” “Uncle” “Aunt” “Cousin”在中文里分别指哪些亲戚,你能分清吗?

在中国,对亲戚的分类要比英文详细很多,所以“Grandparents” “Uncle” “Aunt” “Cousin”在中文里会用不同的词语来指代,具体说来如下:


“Grandfather“这一词在中文里,如果指的是父亲的父亲,称为“爷爷”;如果是指母亲的父亲,则称为“外公”。同样,“Grandmother”这一词在中文里,如果指父亲的母亲,称为“奶奶”;如果指母亲的母亲,则称为“外婆”。

父亲的兄弟所生的子女,就是“堂亲”。如果是哥哥,我们称为“堂哥”(或“堂兄”),如果是弟弟,我们称为“堂弟”;如果是姐姐我们称为“堂姐”,如果是妹妹则称为“堂妹”。
父亲的姐妹,以及母亲的兄弟姐妹所生的子女,我们统称为“表亲”,哥哥称为“表哥”,弟弟称为“表弟”,姐姐称为“表姐”,妹妹称为“表妹”。

I’ was born in a small town in China in August 1989. My parents were both teachers in a middle school before retired. I am a person with strong learning ability and full of enthusiasm for work and life.
