Welkom op mijn profiel!
So you want to learn the Dutch of Belgium (= Flemish)? Maybe you've found the love of your life in Belgium. Or you want to get more involved in the local life and build deeper friendships by connecting with your friends in their native language. Or you just like how the language sounds and want to master it.
I'd be happy to help. My linguistic Bachelor's and Master's degree will help me in the process of helping you, while at the same time keeping it informal and fun :)
At this moment, I'm giving only one type of lesson:
Complete beginners. For you, I made a full pre-recorded video course with all the necessary materials to get you from level zero to the end of A2.
You can choose between using my video course as learning material at your own rhythm (at a discounted price), with optional live lessons where we go through your questions and practice your progress OR going through the full course together, via live lessons.

Hello, I am Josina!
I was born and raised in Belgium, so my native language is Dutch (Flemish). I am also very familiar with Dutch from the Netherlands since I used to live 12 years in Amsterdam.
I have lived, studied, and worked in several wonderful places around the world. As a cultural and social anthropologist, I am very passionate about learning and teaching languages and discovering different cultures.
Apart from my native Dutch, I am also fluent in English and Spanish. The past years I have been learning Modern Greek with an online tutor too. So I know the challenges that come with learning a new language! It is fun, exciting but can be overwhelming at times...

I'm quite passionate about languages. Always in the process of tackling a new language or improving, brushing up on the ones that I learnt in the past. I'd love to transfer some of that passion on to you.
So I know very well how challenging learning a new language can be, how blocked you can feel in speaking and all the other difficulties that come with this process. I'd like to help you overcome those challenges by helping you to feel confident and competent when speaking and using your new tongue.
A language is more than the sum of its parts and is not just grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation etc. It needs to be brought alive, it needs to be made personal so that you can effectively express yourself.
I'm a native Dutch speaker and a certified language teacher. I've been teaching ( Dutch and English) for over 10 years in different countries. I've helped students, of different backgrounds, ages and levels prepare for official exams and have always had good res...

Hi there
I was born in Belgium and Dutch is my native language.
I have always been interested in languages, not just using the language correctly but also trying to understand the evolution of the language and comparing different language groups. Although I was educated as an engineer, after the birth of the children and being always on the move, I had to reinvent myself. I started to give language courses.
Soon, I found out that I really enjoyed this and that I was actually good at it.
I always adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of the student.

I teach because it is fun. At secondary school, my friends asked me to help them with math and economics. I started teaching Dutch as a student at university. My pupils were usually business school students. Later on, I moved to a different university, in Nijmegen, and taught subjects like environmental economics, history and Dutch language. After finishing another project at the university, I decided to start my own IT company. As a company owner, I do projects for companies all over the world, including the department of Languages and Cultures at the University of London. Currently, I spend approximately half of my time as a language teacher and half of my time as an IT expert. I have also been working as a voluntary language teacher at a local organization in my city, which helps immigrants to start a new life in their new home country.
I have a masters degree and have finished a course on second language teaching and another course on teaching adult learners.
My students are fro...
