Hello! My name is Medy from the Philippines! I'm a certified TEFL instructor. With more than 10 years of experience as an ESL teacher, my style of teaching centers on my student's learning style. With different techniques and some experimentation coupled with creativity, we can adjust the learning pace accordingly to student's preferences in order to find out which method works the best. Learning languages (especially English) online can be a real challenge so I'm here to help you make things way easier in an exciting and energetic way. Like you, I learned another language as I grow up, so I completely understand and appreciate the challenges involved. My style of teaching is conversational and interactive. My classes are individually designed according to students’ goals and needs. In general, most lessons are conversational and lesson materials are tailored to the needs of the student. Lessons are fully customizable according to the needs and level of the student. Supplemental m...
Hello! Hola! My name is Sean and I am 29 years old. I strive to make the public smile. On top of my extensive knowledge of languages, I am a chess instructor for elementary students where we learn the basics of chess and how to think strategically. I also teach math and science to high school/college students. Why do I teach? Because the feeling of applying the knowledge learned to one's everyday life is very rewarding. Teaching is an intense passion of mine and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon. When I am not working as a teacher I enjoy playing soccer, traveling, and making documentary films. Let's learn some English! :)

A native British English speaker, I have been passionate about language learning since school. I studied Modern Languages at university in the UK, and continue to study Spanish, so understand the challenges of language learning from the student's perspective too. I did Cambridge CELTA teacher training at the end of 2016 (after years of informal teaching) and worked for two years in Colombia, with a wide variety of business, university, school and private students. Now back in the UK, I teach international learners of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and contexts. I love the variety of students and the breadth of teaching skills that entails. I have top qualifications and extensive experience, in general, business and academic English, as well as in Cambridge, IELTS and TOEFL international exams. Being a good teacher is all about working with the student to find the personalized way that most effectively helps them grow in confidence and achieve their goals. It’s about connecting...
Hi! I'm Emma and I'm from the USA. I've got a bachelor's degree in theoretical linguistics, a master's degree in sociolinguistics and multilingualism, and I'm currently completing a second master's in second language teaching with an emphasis in ESL. I work as an English teacher both here on Verbling and at a local university. I've lived and studied in five countries and learned the language of each (or tried, anyway!). I love everything about language, including learning, teaching, and meeting people who speak different languages. I feel strongly that language learning happens best when we use the language to communicate about something we care about, so my number one goal when teaching English is to use meaningful content. No matter your interests and goals, our lessons will be based around them -- that way, lessons will not only be more fun, but you're much more likely to make progress. We'll be working at a level that's challenging enough to help you learn and improve, but not ...
