I have worked in public and private schools for ten years in Spain, teaching children and teenagers. During the last seven years, I also have taught the Spanish language to people with any age. I'm Hugo, from Vigo — a city on the Atlantic coast of Galicia, in the northwest of Spain. I've been teaching Spanish for ten years, to students from over 30 countries, and I still find it one of the most interesting things I do. Languages have always been central to my life. I've lived, studied and worked in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Canada — and those experiences shaped the way I teach more than any certificate did. Before becoming a full-time teacher, I worked in engineering, hospitality and education. At some point I stopped pretending those were leading somewhere else. I am spaniard, from Valencia city at the Mediterranean cost. I moved in Canada 5 years ago and started to teach Spanish. I got the ELE certificate validated by The Cervantes Institute as I actually enjoyed by teaching and decided to make it my future career. I discover I wanted to be a full time teacher when I moved to Poland and started teaching sporadically.
