Business Development Manager
Dazines Web Development - London
Responsible for generating new business opportunities and strengthening relationships between the company and organisations such as start-ups and long-established multinationals. I established several strong strategies for constantly replenished prospect pools such as New Connections Data – a constant weekly data feed of all businesses who had set up, relocated or established another branch within that previous week. Proactive LinkedIn outreach – Building targeted connections with Marketing Managers and lead decision-makers offering impartial consultations for their online technologies. Business Network Groups such as London Chamber of Commerce - I secured the company’s active participation in these groups to which Dazines took an active role and offered speeches on Digital Marketing, User Experience, SEO and Branding. Customer Referrals program – this initiative was created to work as an incentive for clients to recommend our services and obtain additional development work on their own Website or Marketing Campaigns. Ongoing Development with Existing Clients – I was proactive in communicating to our existing clients and keeping them up-to-date with new technologies which their websites may benefit from. This role required me to have a broad technical knowledge of websites more specifically technologies including PHP, HTML5, CSS, ExtJS, JavaScript, MySQL and creative software such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Mockflow. The company was bought by Reward Gateway an employee engagement platform and became their in-house development department.
2010 - 2012
Operations Director
Drinks in a Click (Digital Store) - London
I established Drinks in a Click as a small enterprise to develop and practice my entrepreneurial skills. During this time, I developed a market-leading e-commerce website for clients to purchase wine and spirits ring-fenced by postcode to our local area, the back end of this site also served as our POS and stock management inventory system. Customers could purchase online or contact us through a wide range of communication streams and have their products delivered with 30 mins of order to their door. I established a strong, locally recognized, brand, infiltrated a tight community of party-goers within the Essex and East London areas including many celebrities such as music artists, premier league footballers, and TV personalities.

PizzaExpress UK - London
With 470 branches throughout the UK and over 60% located in London. For seven years, I was responsible for the training delivered to staff within the City and West End branches, the company’s key performing restaurants. Staff ranged from new Regional Operations Managers to Waiters joining the company. Located in the West End, I was required to deliver workshops and branch visits to hundreds of employees relaying major and minor company changes, menu modifications, product knowledge, developing the employees’ key skills such as upselling, customer service, and health and safety etc. Finally, implementing a companywide “how to” innovation which consisted of detailed laminated cards issued to each branch, outlining step-by-step company standards, steps-of-service, product information, product portioning among others.
