English & International Communication Coach for Professionals & Brazilians
Over the 14 years I’ve spent teaching English and coaching people to communicate in international situations, I’ve noticed that even people with a strong command of English can struggle to express themselves as naturally and confidently as they would in their native language.
They might understand almost everything they hear, yet find it difficult to:
- Express complex thoughts spontaneously or find the right words in the moment.
- Keep conversations flowing and connect naturally with people from other cultures.
- Convey their personality, humour and opinions as they would in their own language.
- Communicate at the level their knowledge, experience and abilities deserve.
I’m Chris, a British English and communication coach from London and the founder of an English training company in Brazil. I help people develop both their English and their communication skills, so they can make the most of their abilities in international situations.
Our lessons are built around your goals, interests and the situations you encounter in real life. Depending on what you want to achieve, we might focus on:
- Everyday conversation: speaking more naturally, keeping conversations going and building connections with people from other countries.
- Fluency and self-expression: finding the right words, expressing your thoughts clearly and communicating more spontaneously.
- Pronunciation and natural English: improving clarity, rhythm, vocabulary and the way you express yourself.
- Professional communication: networking, presentations, meetings and working with international colleagues or clients.
- Advanced English: refining your grammar, vocabulary and ability to communicate complex ideas precisely.
I put a lot of emphasis on the quality of feedback you receive. During our lessons, I pay close attention to how you communicate and identify specific ways to improve your fluency, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, clarity and naturalness.
After every week, you’ll receive a personalised feedback report highlighting key observations, corrections and practical recommendations. This gives you a clear idea of what you’re doing well, what you need to work on and how to keep progressing.
If you’ve been studying English for years, you may already know that progress doesn’t always come as quickly as you’d hoped. My approach combines practical speaking, targeted feedback and coaching to help you address the things that are holding you back.
Around 90% of my recent teaching has been with Brazilian students, so I understand many of the challenges Brazilians face when communicating in English. My experience running an English training company in Brazil also informs the way I approach language development and communication coaching.
In our trial lesson, we’ll discuss your goals, explore the situations you find challenging and identify where we should focus to help you make progress.
