Hello, my name is Rai. I'm a MA student and I hope to start my PhD in Education and Linguistics soon. I love teaching and have been teaching Spanish online for 3 years. I also taught academic writing and sociolinguistics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, the highest ranked university in Peru (2018-2021).
I would be very glad to be your teacher. I have experience with adult students of all levels (from begginers to advanced). All my students have access to books and learning resources through Campus Difusión and Google Classroom. Currently, I offer two types of classes:
1. Informal tutoring/conversation (published price)
If you are a beginner self-study learner and need to practice, we can practice through games and simple conversations. I will give you feedback concerning your sentences and pronunciation in class. On the other hand, if you are an intermediate or advanced student, we will talk about various current topics based on real materials reviewed during the lesson (videos, articles, images, music).
2. General classes (with ➕ 50% additional charge)
In these classes, we will follow materials from the task-based approach of the publishing house Difusión (Aula internacional, Campus Sur A1-B1, C de C1, and more). We will develop comprehension and expression, both oral and written, with special emphasis on oral expression. We can also reinforce specific grammatical topics. In addition, I can provide you with short assignments and review them outside of class.
I qualified as a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language for adults at a college in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My general classes are based on a task-based approach, which means that the classes are aimed at enabling students to speak Spanish in order to carry out specific tasks such as shopping at the supermarket or writing an argumentative essay.
