Hello! Welcome. Teaching is a journey and on this journey I've met the most fascinating students from all over the world - over 50 countries. Teaching is my passion!
I studied foreign languages 38 years ago at Florida Atlantic University. In my 37 years of teaching experience, I have taught English as a Second Language and Spanish to adults of all ages. I'm bilingual English/Spanish. I'm from the United States and I also lived in Seville, Spain. I'm now living in Ecuador and I love it!
Throughout my teaching career I have taught all English levels from Beginner through Advanced (A1 thru C2). I've been teaching online with Verbling since March 2018.
My focus is on communication. I specialize in pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, idioms, vocabulary, (Phrasal Verbs) and the list goes on. My lessons are individualized and tailored to each student's needs.
I'm also qualified to help you prepare for the IELTS and TOEFL assessment tests.
A typical lesson will begin with a speaking activity. We'll focus on improving listening and speaking through dialogue practice, reading activities, pronunciation and discussion on topics of interest.
Language learning is a life-long process and a lot of practice is the most effective way to learn a language proficiently. I look forward to hearing from you so I can guide you through your path to learning English.
