Compare yourself to others or don't compare yourself to others?

Here is a question for you:

Is it good to compare yourself to others or not?

I tend to feel really bad about myself when I try to do something and I see other people having a lot of success and fame doing something really simple, and I can't do it. So, for me, I'm afraid it's better not to look.
