Hello, my name is Stéphane. I am half- French, half-American. I was born and raised in Paris. I attended a bilingual school there, before obtaining a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Yale.
I currently reside in the south of France, where I work as a language teacher. I have been teaching full-time for the past 8 years. My name is Mathieu, i'm french, 40 years old and i live in Nantes, in France. After being in Brazil for 9 years, i have come back to my hometown and i am very happy about it!
I teach french since 2014. I love it because i love languages. I speak 4 languages myself and i have been a student way before a teacher. I'm fascinated by linguistic and that's why i came back to study in 2017 to complete a Master at the best university of France for french teaching, Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris.
I have more than 10 years of experience with all ages and levels. I'm 47 years old, French, I have an engineering degree as well as a master in finance. I worked in the oil and gas in France until 2009. I've been living in Brazil for more than 10 years now and I teach French to 3 main types of students : people how learn the language for pleasure (normally I have had these students for years), candidates for the diplomatic career (CACD), and candidates to the DALF/DELF. With all of them, the exchange in the class in French is the base of a good progress as it helps to fix the language and understand the logic of the language. Whatever the level of the student is, I aim at having a discussion to incorporate the vocabulary, the grammatic, we're studying. After the lesson, I always send a summary of what we studied and homeworks.
