You're in the right place. Whether you're starting from zero or trying to strengthen your foundation, I’m here to guide you step by step with tailored lessons and practical advice.
─ About Me as a Teacher
I'm a **non-native Japanese speaker** who knows what it’s like to learn Japanese from scratch outside of Japan. My own learning journey has shaped the way I teach — with patience, clear explanations, and strategies that work.
I’ve been teaching Japanese since 2020, mainly to:
* Complete beginners
* Travelers preparing for Japan
* JLPT learners (N5 to N3)
* Students who want structured, goal-oriented lessons
I also speak English, German, and Croatian, and I’m especially experienced in working with people different culture backgrounds and ages.
─ Academic & Professional Background
* BA in Japanese Studies (2020)
* MA in Japanese Studies (in progress, Croatia)
* Two 1-year language programs at KUFS in Kyoto (2019–2020 and again recently)
* JLPT N2 (also passed N3)
* TOEIC 930 / Deutsches Sprachdiplom C1 (German)
* Work experience in a Japanese company, with a new role starting soon — giving me insight into both Japanese language and business culture
─ Lesson Availability
I will be working full-time for a Japanese company starting soon, which means my weekday availability is limited.
However, I am generally available on Saturdays and Sundays and can still offer some weekday evening lessons (Japan time).
Please check my calendar and feel free to reach out if you'd like help finding a time.
─ What to Expect in the Trial Lesson
In our first session, we’ll:
* Get to know each other
* Talk about your language learning goals, experience, and preferences
* Create a clear and realistic learning plan tailored to your needs
This helps us build a strong foundation for future lessons and make sure your time is well spent.
