If you want to communicate in English at a more confident level and become a more powerful speaker, I can help you. With over 10 years experience in instructing, both in front of a group of people and one-on-one, online and offline, I can assist you in reaching your English language speaking goals.
Business English practice
As a business owner, I do specialize in the instruction of business English as I understand the challenges faced by business people when trying to communicate to and with their foreign clients. This is done through role play and by helping you to gain an understanding of the cultural differences that may be preventing you from completing your business successfully.
I custom tailor my sessions with your requirements to ensure that you make the best use of your valuable time.
I provide feedback on written materials such as resumes, emails, presentations and other materials as part of the customized program for you the client.
Interview practice
For those English learners trying to find work in a foreign company, I provide practice to improve your interview skills. As a consultant in Canada, I was interviewed many times and I bring that knowledge to my clients through mock interviews and providing general advice on how to behave and handle the stress of an interview. Many of my clients have expressed their thanks not only for helping them prepare but also for building up their confidence in their ability.
General conversation practice
I can also provide general conversations with those people who have learnt English in the past but have not used it extensively but are now finding that they need to remove the "rust" so that they can become more confident in their speaking ability. They may be travelling for conferences or workshops or just for vacations and they want to make sure that they can be understood and that they understand conversations taking place. Again, I tailor the sessions to the client's requirements, i.e. travel and hotels, restaurants, etc.
IELTS and TOEFL practice
I was involved in instructing IELTS and TOEFL speaking which has helped some clients improve their IELTS speaking scores by up to 1 point. I will also provide feedback on IELTS and TOEFL written materials provided to me before the session.
My background and other information
I have instructed in one-on-one and group settings with my groups ranging from 4 to 20 people. The levels have been from beginner to higher level English learners and people from all education and professional backgrounds. I now work with people that are Level B1+ or better.
I always try to engage all of my clients by being able to discuss many diverse topics and interests. I can provide material on a range of topics to match my client's interests and needs. I provide immediate feedback and correct my clients issues without embarrassment to the client.

During the trial session, we will sped the first few minutes getting to know each other. During the next part of the session I will ask you questions about your reasons for wanting to improve your English speaking ability. I will be assessing your ability during the session. I will give you feedback on your present speaking ability before talking about working together. The last 5-minutes will be going over how I can help you and what you want to gain from the sessions that we would schedule.
