I'm a native English speaker from the USA with a neutral accent. I have a Master's degree in Language Education, a Bachelor's degree in Spanish & Education, and I'm a certified school teacher. I taught Beginner Spanish, ELL Social Studies, and ELL Speech to teenagers for 10 years in public schools in the USA. In 2016, I moved to Spain where I currently teach English to intermediate and advanced level students.
I´m an expert in teaching English to Spanish speakers. My understanding of Spanish vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation permits me to quickly observe common errors. Through repetition in conversation, I´ll help you correct those.
I offer the following services:
1. Conversation Classes focusing on fluency, grammar structures, vocabulary acquisition, idioms, and phrasal verbs. Watch your confidence soar as you feel more comfortable speaking English like a native. You will repeat corrections, so that your brain recognizes correct structures and patterns. You´ll implement new vocabulary, phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions in conversation. You will listen to audio files and read texts in order to demonstrate comprehension and be able to speak about various topics. These lessons are uniquely structured according to your ability, goals and interests using materials from various sources such as Linguahouse, American English File, British Council, ESL Brains, Breaking News English, and more.
2. Exam Preparation - My students have successfully passed exams such as IELTS, Oxford, and Trinity. I´ll prepare you for any or all parts of the exam you must take including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We will use the appropriate study materials for your specific exam.
3. Job Interview Preparation - I´ll guide you through typical job interview questions for your specific industry and help you form complete and appropriate responses. We will role play this scenario until you feel comfortable.
4. Editing Documents - I´ll proofread and edit documents that you need in English such as reports, essays, CVs, cover letters, email correspondence, etc.
Apart from teaching English, my passions include traveling, weightlifting, photography, spending time in nature, baking and eating.
