Hi there I was born in Belgium and Dutch is my native language. I have always been interested in languages, not just using the language correctly but also trying to understand the evolution of the language and comparing different language groups. Although I was educated as an engineer, after the birth of the children and being always on the move, I had to reinvent myself. I started to give language courses. Soon, I found out that I really enjoyed this and that I was actually good at it. I always adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of the student.

I'm quite passionate about languages. Always in the process of tackling a new language or improving, brushing up on the ones that I learnt in the past. I'd love to transfer some of that passion on to you. I teach because it is fun. At secondary school, my friends asked me to help them with math and economics. I started teaching Dutch as a student at university. My pupils were usually business school students. Later on, I moved to a different university, in Nijmegen, and taught subjects like environmental economics, history and Dutch language. After finishing another project at the university, I decided to start my own IT company. As a company owner, I do projects for companies all over the world, including the department of Languages and Cultures at the University of London. Currently, I spend approximately half of my time as a language teacher and half of my time as an IT expert.
