I have been teaching Spanish learners how to improve their conversational skills in the Spanish typical of Mexico City for over six years. I do so by helping them put into practice the specific skill or skills they have been struggling with, whether it be speaking, listening, or fluency. For me, the importance of practice in foreign language learning is paramount, especially for those who are interested in a conversational approach.
