Hello! I am Luis Arturo and I would like to be your Spanish teacher. I am a Mexican linguist with a master's degree in Hispanic Linguistics. I like talking, reading (especially literature), and meeting new people. I also love learning other languages — I can speak English, French, and Portuguese, and I am studying Italian.
Me as a Teacher
I specialize in grammar and teaching Spanish as a second language. I have more than three years of experience giving private and group lessons to adults, teenagers and kids of all levels. I really enjoy teaching Spanish and try to ensure that my students have fun while they learn.
My Lessons & Teaching Style
My classes have a conversational approach and are prepared according to your needs. Each class, we usually review a specific topic (ex. grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation), and then practice it through conversational exercises.

Hola, mi nombre es Luis Arturo y me encantaría ayudarte a mejorar tu nivel de español. Soy mexicano y actualmente vivo en la ciudad de México. Me gusta conversar, leer (especialmente literatura) y conocer nuevas personas. Soy lingüísta y me especializo en entender y explicar cómo funciona la gramática del español.
Mis clases se centran por completo en tus necesidades; de hecho, en la primera lección, identifico tu nivel de español y lo que más te interesa practicar. Esto me permite elaborar un plan personalizado con objetivos claros y con una serie de actividades para alcanzarlos.
Mis clases tienen un enfoque conversacional, intento que el estudiante hable la mayor parte de tiempo, pero también revisamos aspectos gramaticales y fonéticos constantemente.
Realmente disfruto dar clases de español y procuro que mis estudiantes aprendan y al mismo tiempo pasen un momento agradable. Espero verte pronto.
