I have 30+ years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught all levels; from basic to advanced grammar and conversation, as well as business English and pronunciation. I especially enjoy helping you with the more difficult aspects of English grammar so that you can improve your ability to speak and write more precisely. I have a particular passion for teaching pronunciation.
I always design my lessons specifically for you, based on your skill level and your goals. I believe that language learning is a lifelong process of discovery. As you learn the language, you learn the culture, and vice versa. My role as your teacher is to provide the rules and patterns of English, give you many opportunities to practice what you are learning, provide correction and suggestions for improvement, and continuous feedback on your progress.
I have taught overseas in the Peace Corps in South Korea and in the United States at language schools, the World Bank, the Inter American Development Bank, continuing education programs at a community college and federally-funded refugee programs.
