Hi - I am Denise. Before becoming a Business English tutor, I worked in corporate for 15 years, holding positions as a Senior Project Manager and Strategic Vendor Manager at one of Africa's largest financial services companies.
Since 2019, I have done +5000 Business English online lessons with business professionals in 14 countries.
Experience and Certification
I have a bucket full of business experience – that I bring to all my lessons. In addition to my business experience, I have a Level 5 TEFL Diploma specializing in Business English and Advanced Project Management from the University of Cape Town.
I understand the language and culture of the workplace, and I teach what you need. My lessons use business-related topics with material from the leading thought leaders in business and management.
MY METHODOLOGY
I take the time to get to know each client’s unique needs and goals – I understand you are a busy professional, so I work around your busy schedule with sessions that fit your lifestyle.
My method uses real-life business case studies, news articles, and podcasts to help you learn English in context and prepare for real-world situations. In addition to learning the language, I will provide you with access to educational articles on the latest business topics to help you stay informed and up to date, help you with presentations, and prepare for meetings with clients or a job interview.
