Bonjour! Learn French with a Native, Friendly, and Experienced Tutor
My name is David, and I am a native French speaker from the Democratic Republic of Congo, currently living in Chicago, USA. I am a passionate and approachable language tutor with a good sense of humor, a strong background in general knowledge and computer science, and several years of experience teaching French to non-native speakers both in-person and online.
My teaching approach is centered on conversation-based learning to help identify your level, improve fluency, and build confidence. I support students through:
Guided reading sessions with explanations of vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure
Dictation exercises and daily vocabulary to build strong language foundations
Custom assignments and follow-up tasks to reinforce learning and develop comprehension
Adapting each lesson to your personal goals, pace, and learning style
Whether you're a beginner or advanced learner, I am here to help you speak French comfortably and confidently. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and flexible — everyone is welcome to join my lessons!
