I am Brazilian from Minas Gerais.
I enjoy teaching in a non-dogmatic way adapting lessons to each student's style and preferences to make them more relaxed and enjoyable giving the student the freedom to practice speaking from the first classes. For beginners, I use my own materials to structure the lessons, sharing the material and exercises with students, and from the beginning, I emphasize conversation, giving students the freedom to practice speaking. Intermediate to advanced levels, we focus on conversation, necessary corrections, and I always give tips on interesting content to expand your vocabulary.
I love what I do, and today I teach people from all over the world to speak my native language and learn more about Brazil and Brazilian culture.

Hi, I'm Arthur, a Brazilian-Italian language teacher who currently lives in Ottawa, Canada, with my wife. I started teaching languages in 2013 during college, and since then I have been teaching children, adolescents, and adults. I am a certified Brazilian Portuguese teacher to foreigners and a heritage (near-native) speaker of Italian, which I also teach.
I am particularly interested in accent reduction and pronunciation, and I often draw parallels between the languages the students already know through comparative grammar.
