Hi there!
Welcome to my profile page. My name is Jeha Kelly. I am a native Korean and currently live in Canada. I operated my own language school in Korea before I moved to Canada. I enjoy my full time self employed teaching position. I used to work as a translator at a courthouse and teach immigrants English here in Canada prior to coming back to the education industry. I love music, and playing the piano and the cello. Reading and writing always has been a huge part of my life which helps me understand different people and their lives. I look forward to meeting you!
Me as a Teacher
I have been involved in the teaching industry for 16 years before and after moving to Canada. Currently I am working as a language instructor online. Prior to teaching online, I was engaged with all walks of life with regards to learning and development. A wide spectrum of ages and cultural backgrounds have been playing an important role in understanding the difference. My knowing where the gap lays between English and Korean has served to meet students' needs in learning by filling the gap with a teacher's cultural and academic knowledge.
Going the extra miles for students' personal development is one of my virtues. My ears are always open to what students have to say.
My Lessons & Teaching Style
- Conversation, writing, reading, TOPIK, TOEIC, TOEFL, Korean SAT
Students will be provided with individually customized materials and the support for their better understanding of Korean and English with cultural and academic aspects that I can bring as a liaison. My teaching experience taught me to be a patient and passionate listener. I am excellent at making lessons more productive and fun.
All areas of language learning, speaking, reading, listening and writing, are well structured in lessons and through homework to help students accomplish their desired goals. I am fun but serious, can be humorous but focused.
